These are my personal to 10 music video's for 2011

1. Marsha Ambrosius - 'Far Away'

I feel in love with this music video when I saw it earlier this year. I was surprised that Marsha tackled such a heavy issue on her debut music video from her debut solo album. The music video tells a very compelling story about assumptions and acceptence.

2. Beyonce - 'Love On Top'

I have always been a fan of the "old school" music and I knew from the first scene that a 80's music video by New Edition was being depicted. As this video goes on it continues to pay homage to several male R&B/Pop groups such as New Edition, Jackson 5, The Temptations, and i am not sure which group the last is supposed to be.

3, Mindless Behavior Ft. Ciara, Tyga and Lil Twist - 'My Girl (Remix)'

These kids really got my attention with this remix to their debut single pulling in heavy hitter Ciara and well known rappers Tyga and Lil Twist. I really like the song and the music video is cool too.

4. Kelly Rowland Ft. Big Sean - 'Lay It On Me'

Kelly is putting on a real sexual look with her third album "Here I Am" and it is apparently working for her. I have noticed that just as several male rappers have half naked females in their music videos, she appears to be doing the same with half naked males. She really seems to have found her niche with the whole grown and sexy thing she is putting on.

5. Chris Brown - 'She Ain't You'

I really like this video that he dedicated to the late Michael Jackson because he also seemed to be having a really good time in this vid. I have not seen him this happy in a long time since the whole Rihanna thing. I also really liked the fact that he featured his good friend Seven from the former girl group Richgirn on both the song and in the music video.

6. Marsha Ambrosius - 'Late Nights & Early Mornings'

Marsha did it again with her second single from her debut solo album. The album's title track also delivers a very powerful message. In all honesty, I was kinda confused until the end of the video and then I was like Oooooo I get it now.

6. Monica - 'Until It's Gone'

I love music video's that tell a story and this was no exception. The music video goes on to show that tomorrow is not promised. She was able to pull actor Brian White in on the video. I think it tells a compelling story.

8. Chris Brown Ft. Busta Rhymes & Lil Wayne - 'Look At Me Now'

This music video is just pure fun. Chris looks like he was just having a good time in this video which overall was a good look for him. The video overall was just a good time.

9. Britney Spears - 'Criminal'

I LOVE this music video just as I LOVE the song. The music video really portrayed a movie involving abuse, betrayal, love, and crime as 2 love struck people meet and one criminal seduces the other in a life of crime. Overall, this plot line would lead to a REALLY good movie.

10. Big Sean Ft. Nicki Minaj - 'Dance (A$$) (Remix)'

This video was really just as expected for me for a party / club heavy track. I did not really notice a point to this music video but I still liked it.

(New Music) Marsha Ambrosius - 'Happy Thanksgiving 2011'

This song is more of a preview than a full song but all in all I still like what I have heard thus far. I have yet to be dissapointed by any song that Marsha has done. She gets kinda sexy on this track with her voice and her inclinations.

(New Music Video) Marsha Ambrosius - 'Late Nights & Early Mornings'



 

Now I typically do not comment on music videos but Marsha Ambrosius did it again with a very well directed mesic video that has a very strong message in it. Now im not even gonna lie because it didnt hit me until the very end of the video what the message was. This is a very well done peice of work.

I honestly do not feel that this song should have eever been touched or remixed. The song tells a very personal stoey that was fine as is.

(Album Review) Marsha Ambrosius - "Late Nights & Early Mornings"

There is really nothing other to say other than the fact that this is a soul laced R&B album. This album will put you in a real chilled out mood. The album will be released Tuesday March 1st 2011 but if you are interested then you can preview the album and order below.

(New Music) Marsha Ambrosius - 'Butterflies'

 

Here is another track from Marsha's debut album "Late Nights And Early Mornings" set for a March 1st release.  The track written by Marsha's former group Floetry and penned by the late Michael Jackson appeared on his 2001 album "Invincible". Marsha re-recorded the track and placed it on her album as a reibute to him.

Here are 5 must hear tracks from Marsha's (formerly of Floetry) upcoming solo debut album "Late Nights & Early Mornings" set for a March 1st release.

“With You”
Co-written by Alicia Keys, this song sets a romantic tone at the album’s onset, cruising along with paced percussion and a delicate piano line. On the languid tune, Marsha opens up about longing to meet up with her man, her voice quivering in anticipation. “Feels like I’ve been waiting for a lifetime/ To find someone that I’ll want as much as I want you/ Right now,” she wails.

“Late Nights & Early Mornings”
The album’s title track, produced by Rich Harrison (Beyoncé’s “Crazy in Love,” Amerie’s “1 Thing”), is surprisingly restrained given the beatsmith’s frenzied production past. Easing into the song with a disorienting melody, the mid-tempo ballad features off-kilter synths and gurgling drums, with Marsha crowing about getting some extra loving in the heat of the night. “It’s going to be a late night ’til the early morning/ When I come on home/ It’s going to be that good love, gave you what you wanted/ I want to do it all night long,” she teases on the Prince-inspired tune.

“Lose Myself”
Lauryn Hill wrote and recorded this as an energetic inclusion on the soundtrack to the 2007 animated feature Surf’s Up, and Marsha completely reconfigures the track to suit an R&B template. Cutting away the heavy percussion and synthesizers of Ms. Hill’s version, Marsh puts her heart into this neo-soul remake, driven by languid percussion, a light organ, and thick vocal harmonies.

“Tears”
Marsha gets into the Motown swing on “Tears,” where she sings the blues about regretting her decision to dump her boyfriend. “First of all let me say that I missed you baby, for real/ I’m worse off than I’ve been, I feel so much pain/ Cried so many tears,” sings Marsha, her voice quavering against echoing harmonies as she begs her man to come back into her arms.

“Butterflies (Remix)”
Marsha originally penned this track for Michael Jackson’s 2001 album Invincible, later rerecording it with her group Floetry for 2002’s Floetic. Almost a decade later, she revamps the innocent ballad with the addition of popping drums, blurting horns, and glib synthesizers. The upbeat remix also features rerecorded vocals and an alternate ending, closing the album with a dash of something familiar for those who have kept up with this soaring songbird.

(New Music Video) Marsha Ambrosius - 'Far Away'



 

After sitting hown and watching this video I can say that I was completely surprised by the message of the video. It was a VERY good message tho, that you DO NOT see in todays music. The video is about understanding and acceptance of different lifestyles.
