Etta James dies at 73
The very well known and legendary soulful R&B singer Etta James died this morning in Riverside, Calif. She was 73 years old and passed from complications with leukemia.I personally wish her family her family our sincere condolences during this period of mourning.

Marcus Canty is a newly signed artist on Epic Records
I am really glad to learn that Marcus has also been signed to Epic Records by his former "X Factor" mentor L.A. Reid. This is really big news because Marcus was one of my favs on "X Factor" and he lives about 15 minutes away from me. Much success to all 3 fellas (Marcus Canty, Chris Rene and Astro) that were formerly on "X Factor" and newly signed to Epic Records.

I like this song and it is a very uplifting track. The fellas delivered very well vocally on this ballad. I am starting to notice that they sound really good on the ballads.

I see that L.A. Reid has been busy, now signing Chris Rene in addition to Astro on Epic Records. I am looking forward to seeing how both of them do.

Brandy & Monica duet finally named and given a release date
Now, as a 80's baby and true fan of 90's R&B music I can honestly say that I am ecstatic about this news, I kinda had a feeling that they would record together again and once I really started to realize how close they have become as friends via Twitter I knew that it was only a matter of time. The new song is titled 'It All Belongs To Me' and is due for a February 6th release. This song will also appear on both singers new albums and will also be a continuation of the ladies 1998 Grammy winning single 'The Boy Is Mine'.

Chris Brown puts all Rihanna reunion rumors to rest with new tattoo
Now, I will admit that I thought (and still do think) that C.B. and Rihanna would get back together. Chris apparently set these rumors to rest with his latest tat of his girlfriend. He does realize that this dies not guarantee a long term relationship or marriage right? I hope so, but this was still an overly stupid decision in my opinion. I currently have 4 tat's myself and always said that the only names that I would get tatted on me are names of people whose positions could never change such as parents and kids. All in all it is his decision take a look at his new tat below:
Rihanna getting high, is it really that good?
Ok, I have never smoked (illegally) a day in my life and I can honestly say that these pics of her getting high are unflattering. I mean, to each it's own but with her young fan base she might want to do this in an area that cameras cannot get her. Kinda unladylike but that is just my opinion.

This track is not bad at all bad I somewhat like it. I think this track is album worthy but I do not think it is good enough to be a single.

Now, once again this date on the image for the release of the mixtape is wrong simply because Dondria felt that the mixtape needed a little more work.
I have always liked this song but it sounds pretty good with Dondria on it also.

(Album Review) Mya - "K.I.S.S."
To me, this album seems moreso pop infused and I really like that because several of the songs on this album are really club worthy. This album dropped in the U.S. on December 20th and is only currently available as a mp3 download. I definately had to bite the bullet and get over my want for an actual CD. While listening to this album I already have a favorite track currently 'Somebody Come Get This Bitch' is my jam LOL.
This album is a must buy and for those interested, it is available for preview, purchase and download Here in the U.S. but I am not 100% sure about other countries.
(New Music) Cherlise Ft. Fat Joe - 'I'm So Ready'
This song kinda reminds me of some songs done in early 2000's and im really liking it. Fat Joe comes in for a quick 8 bars at the very beginning of the song and is done by the 30 second mark. I was kinda pissed that it was all I heard by him. Kinda pointless to me, but all in all I do kinda like this song from her new mixtape "GroundZero" which drops on Monday.
