I do not know if she left on her own (which I doubt) or was dropped, however, as I have said to my friends several times over "no person or group signed to Bad Boy Records typically last more than 2 or 3 albums". I still feel that this is a good thing for Dawn. Her debut solo album might have gotten pushed back for a indefinite period of time, but I think it will work out for the better.
