(Album Review) Diggy - "Unexpected Arrival"

Unexpected Arrival

1. "The Arrival (Intro)" - This is the intro track to Diggy's debut album and overall I find it very uplifting with a positive messages.
2. "Hello World" - Diggy steps on the scene with pretty decent rhymes. This song also has a really basic beat which is a good thing because you have the old school feel.
3. "I Need To Know" - Diggy speaks to his girl on this track while trying to figure out if she and his friends are with him for him or just using him.
4. "88" (Feat. Jadakiss) - This track comes in on a real hard party / club type of beat. Jadakiss comes in and kills her verse lyrically, furthermore classifying this track as a hype uptempo track.
5. "Two Up" - This track is just hands down a feel good song and gives listeners a reason to feel good about themselves because as the song says "Everybody live it up, if tomorrow never comes."
6. "Unforgivable Blackness" - This track is pretty cool as Diggy raps about his success and wonders why some people hate on his success and classify him as ghetto.
7. "Special Occasion" (Feat. Tank) - This song is like all over the place but Diggy is essentially talking about his work to get to where he is. Not a bad track at all as Tank coo's on the intro to the song and all over every chorus.
8. "Glow In The Dark" - This track is really focused on Diggy's determination to get to where he is now. He talks about the hard work and effort that he has put into his music thus far.
9. "4 Letter Word" - I have to say from jump that I love the song title. Initial thoughts on what the "4 Letter Word" may be are more than likely wrong because it is nothing negative. This track is more of a love song whuch also has Diggy somewhat singing prior to dropping his rhymes. It is overall a good song.
10. "Do It Like You" (Feat. Jeremih) - Diggy's prior single is in my opinion a good fit near the end of the album. Jeremih comes in during the chorus dropping his smooth vocals on the track and just overall making it a feel good song.
11. "Tom Edison" - I like this track and the fact that Diggy is basically telling you to turn on the lights and realize who he is.
12. "The Reign" - The final track on the standard version of the album and Diggy does a fairly good job ending this album with a decent track. He goes on to say in the second verse that he has his own money and has put in work to get what he has. In the third verse he is giving his thank you's on this track.

All in all this is a pretty good debut album by the 17 year old rapper. I would say that this album overall is a good buy.
