(Album Review) Tamar Braxton - "Love and War"

I have been looking forward to hearing this album ever since her second single and hearing her third single like two months ago only made me want the full album more.

Tracklisting

1. The One - The albums second single and appropriately placed track as #1 samples "Juicy" by the late Notorious B.I.G., this track goes on to explain her love and need for her man.
2. Tip Toe - I really like the thumping clubish beat on this track. I also love how she sings about keeping this "hush, hush"and away from the Wendy Williams Show.
3. Stay and Fight - In this song, she sings about staying and fighting for him and the relationship. I think it is a good song for those in a troubled relationship that want it to work.
4. Love and War -  The albums title track and first single telly a very interesting story about the ups and downs in a relationship.
5. All The Way Home - This may possibly be her forth single that goes on to talk about how she argues with her man but still thinks about him all the way home when she leaves his place.
6. One on One Fun - This is one of her short songs under 2 minutes but I could still hear this song being played in the club with the bass heavy beat.
7. She Did That - Another song and this one is barely over a minute so I think it is just a interlude.
8. Hot Sugar - Her upcoming third single is a uptempo club type of track that makes you want to grind and dance. She goes on to talk about how she teases him sexually.
9. Pieces - This song talks about how she does not just wants pieces of her man. She feels that if she cannot have all of him then she does not want him.
10. Where It Hurts - She does not want to cause him the same pain that his ex did. She only wants to help to heal his pain.
11. Prettiest Girl - This song is a ode to her man who makes her feel like the prettiest girl in the world.
12. Sound of Love - She sings about her love for her man and how he makes her feel.
13. White Candle - In this song, she compares she compares her relationship to a white candle and not wanting it to burn out.
14. Thank You Lord - The closing track on the album is a perfectly placed gospel track.

This album overall is a good album and worth the purchase.
