Remembering Aaliyah 10 years later

Aaliyah Dana Haughton (January 16, 1979 – August 25, 2001)
Today marks the 10 year anniversary of the passing of the very talented R&B singer Aaliyah. Aaliyah died in a plane crash after completeing her music video for the second single off of her third album the self titled Aaliyah. Aaliyah was also becoming an actress with one completed movie "Romeo Must Die" and a second movie that was in post production "Queen Of The Damned". I wasnt a huge fan of Aaliyah in the past but I was getting to that point. She had two singles that I absolutely loved "If Your Girl Only Knew" and coincidently "Rock The Boat". When I first heard that "Rock The Boat" would be her second single from her new album, I was looking forward to it. I still LOVE the music video.

(New Music) Katy Perry Ft. Missy Elliott - 'Last Friday Night (TGIF) (Remix)'
If it has not become obvious as of yet then I will tell you now that Katy Perry is a force to be roconed with. I have yet to hear a song by her that I do not like. She continually teams up with well known rappers on new songs which in turn reach a larger audience. Thus far she has teamed up with rappers like Snoop Dogg, Kanye West, and Missy. Overall, I really like this remix with Missy.
